CLASSES AT THE EX-POSADA CORAZON
One of the oldest properties in the heart of town which is not open to the public. The kitchen is large, traditional and there is an organic garden patch on the property that we harvest from.
MAKE A MEXICAN MEAL, MARCH 30th 3 PM- 7 PM (min. 4 people) We prepare a full Mexican meal with variations on guacamole and using many native ingredients unfamiliar to visitors such as artisan cheeses, a corn fungus - huitlacoche- not available north of the border, and many of the fresh vegetables not grown outside the country. We will work with fresh corn masa and make Chicken Tinga as a main dish.
Class is $95 USD per person, digital recipe pack and all ingredients included. Local Artisan Beer available for purchase with meal.
MARKET TO MEAL CLASS, APRIL 4th, 2PM to 7 PM - In this class we will meet up and take a stroll through the town central food market grabbing ingredients, learning about chiles and trying small portions of Mexican delicacies along the way. We choose wine from a local winery on the way to the kitchen and then prepare a meal with a cheese tasting, fresh salsas using fresh and dried chiles, a mole tasting and many 'guisos' using traditional Mexican ingredients.
Class is $110 USD per person, a glass of local wine, digital recipe pack and ingredients, included.
